We are very happy to announce that the Paleoanthropology Society and the European Society for the Study of Human Evolution (ESHE) have joined forces to jointly sponsor the online journal PaleoAnthropology, as part of our commitment to Open Science.
There are no costs involved with publishing in PaleoAnthropology and all articles are open access, freely available to readers and authors. The journal is using Open Journal Systems (OJS) and the website is hosted through the University of Tübingen.
As part of this effort, the editorial team has been expanded, to include two editors in-chief from the ESHE side, Katerina Harvati and Karen Ruebens, in addition to the existing two editors, Karen Rosenberg and Erella Hovers.
Please note that the website is still evolving and over the coming weeks the entire back-issue archive of the PaleoAnthropology journal will migrate to the new website, and the system will open to submissions. We plan two issues per year, in fall and spring, with regular articles in each as well as the meeting abstracts for both societies (ESHE in fall and Paleoanthropology Society in spring), starting with the 2021 ESHE abstracts in our first planned issue in the fall of 2021.
Please consider PaleoAnthropology for your next submission!
